For the past couple years, there has been a study conducted to see exactly what kind of drug use we have going on in Porter County.  In August 2010, The Consumption and Consequences of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Drugs in Porter County: A Local Epidemiological Profile was released by the Community Research and Service Center at Valparaiso University.  Here are some of the statistics that I have pulled from this profile:

71% of High School seniors have consumed Alcohol in the PAST YEAR

42% of High School seniors have used Marijuana in the PAST YEAR

4.1% of High School seniors have used Heroin in their lifetime

12% of High School seniors have used Amphetamines (Speed) in the PAST YEAR

13% of High School seniors have used Cocaine in the PAST YEAR

Still don't think that there is a problem?

When upon a time, students wrote essays at university. Now they're able to employ unemployed professors to do that for them - or a minimum of that is what 1 Montreal-based on-line service is providing. Unemployed Professors connects essay-dreading students with teachers willing to write papers for a fee. The tag line says it all: "So you'll be able to play though we make your papers go away." The web page "unabashedly defends its actions around the grounds that education has currently become overly commodified and academia is downsizing the tenure system," Karen Seidman wrote for Postmedia News. Student-run essay mills are not new, Schubert Laforest, president of your Concordia Student Union, told the National Post, but "it's the initial I've heard of professors undertaking students' operate." "It just seems to hinder the academic approach. The concentrate should really be on acquiring abilities, not wanting to get a simple A. But I'm positive some students will take advantage of it." Plagiarism software is what drives some students to get custom-written essays. Unemployed Professors https://www.unemployedprofessors.xyz/ explains: "The complete reason why you happen to be utilizing this services is in order that your lazy ass does not itself have to plagiarize. Long answer? We source and cite every thing we write on the basis of our long experience of non-plagiarizing. Brief answer? No, you happen to be not going to get caught unless you do anything stupid like inform absolutely everyone that you just purchased an essay."
